Also called balsam groundsel. A prairie species (likes full or at least partial sun) that flowers between April and August depending on conditions. Grows 1-3 feet high. Prefers moist sand prairies, sedge meadows, streambanks, open woodlands, and abandoned fields. Areas with low ground vegetation and some history of disturbance are preferred.
