WHY    

  • to connect all of Londoners and future generations to the land that belongs to the Creator

  • to launch Greening Sacred Spaces chapter in London, sponsored by Climate Action London

  • to support and advance the City of London’s Climate Emergency Action Plan

WHO

Program will be led M. Tracey Whiteye, Oshkaabewis Kwe, which means a woman helper or messenger in Objibwe language.  Tracey is a wholistic practitioner, researcher and educator.

 

WHAT  

Honoring mother earth and future generations with story-telling, songs and prayers. 

The water ceremony will honor the four directions around the sacred fire.

Sacred bundles and other indigenous women who are Berry Fasters, will be present.

We will also announce the new Greening Sacred Spaces initiative.

We will announce the call for submissions for two x $500 Climate Action London grants, which also address London's local Sustainable Development Goals. See more general information at CommunityGoals.ca or GlobalGoals.org

GRANTS

Please submit your Climate Action London grant applications, which also address before November 30, 2021. We will announce 2 x $500.00 recipients at our next Winter Solstice event around December 21, 2021. Here is the link to the Google Forms Grant Application.

WHERE  

We will start and end in front of the bandshell and we will walk around Victoria Park.

Bring your umbrellas! We will meet under the City Hall Council Chambers overhang if the rain is heavy.
